As we all know keeping a strong immune system is incredibly important these days. During the initial days of the pandemic co-founders Reid Watson and Gregory Wilkins began brainstorming on potential ways to help our customers maintain a strong and robust immune system during such unprecedented times. Reid and Gregory had an idea and that was to combine a healthy dose of full spectrum CBD (50mg) with some sort of multivitamin and supplement assortment in an effort to boost people’s immunity. Reid and Gregory have had a long working relationship with Earth’s Creation a large scale multinational supplement manufacturer located in Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina. We knew that CBD on its own has shown great promise in its ability to aid in sleep and anxiety which has been all too difficult to obtain during the pandemic. We wanted to add CBD to something that was just like your daily multivitamin, but instead of taking it in the morning take it after dinner at night. You will sleep better and at the same time you are providing your body with powerful supplements and vitamins.
CBD Immunity Shield’s ingredients: Why it Works.
We decided to create a custom “Immunity Shield Multivitamin” which combines green tea extract which contains powerful antioxidants called catechins. We have also added CurQlife which is Earth’s Creations patented turmeric extract which is exponentially more bioavailable than standard turmeric. This provides the body with more immune supporting molecules. Curcumin which is the yellow-orange component of turmeric has shown many potential therapeutic effects in asthma, arthritis, allergies, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease and diabetes because of its ability to modulate the immune system. We have also added Quercetin, an antioxidant more powerful than vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene. Quercetin is a common flavonoid found in many fruits and vegetables and has shown great promise in being anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, antiviral as well as a powerful antioxidant. We have also added olive leaf extract which has been used in traditional medicine as a powerful natural antioxidant which is an incredibly important component of the Mediterranean diet. We also added ginger root which has been used for thousands of years for its purported beneficial effects on numerous ailments from colds, nausea, arthritis, migraines and hypertension. Science is just beginning to validate some of these claims by determining what and how ginger affects the human body. The literature is vast and has shown great promise as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. We also added the general list of vitamins found in your daily vitamin that you already take. This included vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D (some studies show lack of vitamin D found in Covid-19 patients,) vitamin E, zinc and selenium. Last but not least we added a beneficial probiotic blend and black pepper extract. Probiotics have been shown to improve digestive function. Black pepper extract has been shown to help aid your stomach in digesting nutrients as well as being a valuable antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
