The CBD world has been compared to the Wild, Wild West. This is caused by confusion of the Cannabis Sativa plant with THC (Marijuana) and the Hemp plant (where Cannabidiol (CBD) comes from), being the same.
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is one compound of more than 100 active compounds found in Cannabis Sativa. THC is the only compound that gives you the “buzz”. CBD (Cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive, so there is no high. Farming Hemp is legal for most of the states in the United States.
To quote Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell. “We’ve won the argument that this [the hemp discussion] is not about Marijuana.”
